The 16-28mm DG DN | Contempory is the second Contemporary F2.8 zoom lens from DGN, following the already available 28-70mm F2.8 DG DN | Contemporary

Using it together with the 28-70mm, users will be able to enjoy a compact and lightweight system that covers from 16mm to 70mm, from ultra-wide-angle to half-telephoto combined with a constant aperture of F2.8 guaranteeing high image quality. It is perfect for urban landscapes, architecture, climbing, camping, family events and outings, etc. It is ideal for casual everyday use, without compromising image quality.

F2.8 zoom alignment covering ultra wide angle to medium telephoto

Following the 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN | Art, the introduction of this lens as the second F2.8 wide-angle zoom is an opportunity for those who already own the 28-70mm F2.8 DG DN | Contemporary or the 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN | Art, to build an F2.8 zoom system. Even when carrying this 16-28mm lens and the 28-70mm lens, the sum weight is 920g. SIGMA will further expand users? enjoyment of choosing the lens that best suits their purpose and preference.

The ??Focus Breathing??* function is integrated, so please be aware of this when shooting. Thanks to the stepper motor, almost silent operation is possible.

However, vignetting (a term that describes the appearance of dark corners in the photo ??vignetting effect??) does not occur when a pl or ND filter is attached, however, due to the wide-angle nature of this lens, the use of a fine filter is recommended. Please note that the use of SIGMA?s PL filter does not cause vignetting either.

*Focus Breathing": a term that describes the change in focal length that occurs as a result of adjusting the focus distance of a lens. It is a common occurrence that happens with many lenses. As the focus is adjusted from close to infinity, Focus Breathing causes noticeable changes in both the angle of view and the magnification.
